About us
We are rated as a Good Provider on all levels by our regulatory body Ofsted. We have a team of experienced and qualified staff who are also trained to meet the needs of children and young people on an individual child focused basis. We support young people through trauma informed practice, where all staff having been PACE trained approach children and young people in a playful, accepting, curious and empathetic way; providing a safe foundation for children and young people to express themselves and make better choices in the way that they unpack their emotions. We offer support, care and accommodation for young people aged between 12-17yrs (on admission) who are unable to live with their own family and we aim to enable them to live and reach their full potential whilst helping them to manage their past experiences.
We believe that residential care can be a positive experience for specific children and young people who have their biological family but are unable to continue living with them. Having a team that are able to meet the multi layered and complex needs can be instrumental in building positive relationships, clear and consistent routines that offer boundaries of security enabling children and young people to feel safe and care for.
We enable young people to develop self confidence, self-esteem and develop their ability to self regulate their emotions.
We offer a systemic child focused approach, working with family, social services, CAMHS, school and all significant individuals in the young person’s professional network to support positive outcomes for all our young people.
We aim to create safe spaces of opportunity for young people to express their emotions without judgement, thus enabling them to also learn more appropriate ways to express their feelings, thoughts and emotions with staffs reassurance.
We aim to offer opportunities for young people to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment addressing negative past experiences to cope appropriately in their future with the gained internal skills.
We work with multi agencies to ensure therapeutic services are accessed during and after being placed in our care.
We aim to provide individualised living and learning experiences, where young people can feel accepted for who they are. We also aim to provide shared experiences where the differences of others are acknowledged and celebrated.
Most importantly, we have a genuine heart towards enabling every young person make the needed changes in their lives; and we will go above and beyond to ensure that every young person makes progress whilst in our care on their own very unique journey that we are privileged to travel along with them whilst they are with us.
